Pymaemo tutorials
I’ve created this page to put up a collection of the pymaemo tutorials that I’ve written on my blog. I hope this makes it easier to read and find the tutorials since you don’t have to browse through my blog for that.
What is pymaemo?
Pymaemo is short for Python for Maemo. First you might want to check what is Python and then proceed to find out what is Maemo. After familiarizing yourself with these two, it’s probably safe to start finding out more about pymaemo.
What are these tutorials all about?
Tutorials are of course about writing Python applications for the Maemo platform. As of now, they are mostly concentrating on user interfaces that are created using PyGTK and Hildon components. The initial idea of writing these tutorials came from poor memory. I tend to forget stuff easily and I thought that if I write down my experiences to my blog I’ll find them from there later on. I have to say that these tutorials do not necessarily represent the truth, as you can also notice from the tag line of my blog. These are just notes of my experiences to the world of Python programming.
